Let me tell you a story about cancer...
I managed Hospice med logistics in three states for nearly a decade, and frequently, I'd take delivery routes, myself.
One of them was to a local gal; maybe 14-15yo.
Bald from the chemotherapy.
She & her family were so bright, and kind, when I brought her meds, even though she was actively dying.
They made an impression; it always did, when you could see the sunlight in spite of their pain.
Turns out, one of my employees had a kid who went to school with her; talked about how terrified she was of dying a lot.
And, y'know what?
I don't think she or anyone in her family would've given two shits about your "experts", if it'd cured her cancer.
You can fret about tomorrow & the deleterious potential side-effects & consequences...but man, that girl would still be here to worry about it.
