AI fear is the biggest joke of 2026. This isn’t new. This fear-mongering has run for years. Hawking. Elon. Dario. Sam. Hinton walking out of Google. The extinction letter. Same claim, different calendar. This year it’s every other month. Last year it was every other quarter. Before that, once a year. The warnings keep speeding up. The catastrophe never arrives. So when does it count? When do you look at the record and say these people were wrong? They told you the jobs were gone. They aren’t. They told you AGI was 18 months out. Then 18 months out again. Then again. Not “it could.” Not “there’s a non-zero chance.” Not “10 percent in the next ten years, I pulled that number out of my expertise.” An actual event that matches the rhetoric they used three years ago, five years ago, ten years ago. They throw out “10 percent this decade” like that’s evidence. It isn’t. It’s a number with no mechanism, no date that ever holds, and no penalty when it misses. If the last round didn’t happen, and the round before that didn’t happen, why is this one gospel? At what point do you stop listening to these people and their fear ads?
