Is there a link between heatwaves & violence?
A 2021 Lancet study found rising temperatures are associated with more homicides, sex offences, and assaults.
For every 5°C rise in daily temperature predicted a 4.5% jump in sex offences over the following week.
They call it "heat-induced physiological stress".
Could this explain the recent rise in violent crimes,
Is everyone just hot and annoyed with no air-con??
