Louisiana is now courting data center builders from around the country to build in the State using Meta’s Richland Parish deal as the template. Water, of course, has been a nonissue. The data center uses less water than the farms that previously existed there used. Meta paid for its own electricity generation, storm mitigation upgrades, etc. Meta also touted their Workforce Academy training program for data center techs of all kinds.
