I think we have pretty good reason to accept that “AGI” is a meaningless term and a useless idea which should be retired.
No one ever managed to agree on how you define AGI, but AI capabilities have improved enough to stress out Fields medalists, while the frontier is so “jagged” that regular users hate AI writing, and @random_walker was completely right about there being no discontinuity.
