Intel $INTC A new survey of 800 executives and experts across the US, China, Germany, Japan, UK and South Korea shows 60% expect their organizations to operate robots within five years. Only 40% have a formal strategy for managing human-robot workplaces. The gap is widest in Korea. 67% of Korean respondents expect robots on site within five years and 76% believe they will be ready for collaborative environments by 2030. Yet only 27% report having a concrete strategy, the lowest among the six countries surveyed. Most respondents see robots as assistants that raise human skill levels rather than replacements. Safety, fragmented decision-making, and the shortage of people who understand both robotics and AI remain the biggest practical barriers. 77% say reliability and performance matter more than humanoid form. Edge AI is emerging as critical. More than half of respondents need decision latency under 100 milliseconds for key applications.
