By the virtue of his birth, he has inherited the fiefdom. Now, by not contesting on an open seat, he exploits the same fiefdom to deny opportunity to a poor Dalit. This is exactly how caste system works. Therefore, giving a daughter has not worked. Infact, it has only increased the number of people who demand reservation and claim victimhood.
