My coworker has worn the same suit to work every day for eleven years.
Last Friday, I found out why.
Everyone in the office knew him as “the suit guy.” Same navy-blue suit. Same black tie. Same polished shoes.
People joked that he probably owned ten identical copies of it. Some even made fun of him for never changing his style.
He never seemed bothered.
For eleven years, he was never late. Never missed a deadline. Never complained.
Last Friday was his retirement party.
As he stood up to thank everyone, one of our colleagues jokingly asked, “So, are you finally going to buy a new suit now?”
He smiled and replied, “No. This one is staying with me forever.”
The room went silent when he explained why.
