as an experiment, Astra managed to port one of my childhood games to the web, in 6 hours and a single prompt
I remember rushing into the computer lab during science lessons with my friends to play this silly game where we had to run digestive system as a tiny robot
helping this man chew his food, digest the chunks, passing it through the intestines, to learn about digestion
of course in a bid of nostalgia i tried finding the game a decade later, but at the time the company site had disappeared and no more copies of this game could be found
all that remained was a reddit thread
a few years ago I found the exe installer in an old 16mb thumbdrive! i immediately booted a windows XP VM and tried installing (couldn't run on modern windows)
alas the game was made entirely in Adobe Director, and multiplayer had stopped working 6 years ago
i tried to port it to a web version, but failed with GPT-5.4, 5.5, sol, opus, and even fable
but just yesterday, i decided to try it with astra, and it blew the entire process out of the water with agent coordination + browser/computer use
after six hours and a few subagents, it managed to bring the game to the web, and two other prompts later, P2P multiplayer support was done
there's a real use case for bringing back lost media with AI
site completely done by astra and sol:
