A breakout happens when the price moves outside a pattern. For confirmation, wait for the price to close outside the pattern, as the initial move could reverse. In some cases, like bull flags, you can enter early, but it’s riskier. It’s better to wait for confirmation and enter when the price is near the trendline or after a retest at key levels. For fast-moving prices, especially during news-driven pumps, set bids at the 0.382 Fib level as the price retraces, with a stop loss below 0.618. Alternatively, enter at the breakout and set a stop loss just below the trendline. Your stop loss affects your position size. For example, if your stop loss is 2% below, you can size your position 10 times larger than if it’s 20% below, while maintaining the same risk. Hope this helps you make better trading decisions!
