People have been asking me why I am so excited about @bot and why Im tweeting so much. First its cause @rachelnabors tweeted about women she follows on here not sharing like they used to. And I fell into that bracket cause I became a twin mum and that became more important than social media and the community. But her tweet reminded me of how much I love the community and missed sharing my knowledge and passion. But I have no time. Im a full time mum of twin toddlers and a wife plus a full time employee plus an open source contributor, educator and human who also likes to do sport and there simply isn’t enough hours to do them all well. I used to do 3 hours or sport a day, cycle 200km + a week. I had so much time before kids and now I haven’t been cycling in 3 years and am lucky if I find the time to go for a 20 min run. I work till 11pm so I can spend time with my kids. Its hard. It’s exhausting. But I wouldn’t change it for the world. But I let the community down cause I stopped sharing so much, stopped creating videos and my job role changed to not be so forward facing. I simply didn’t have the time or energy to create videos and posts and thumbnails and all the tedious parts that goes along with content creation. That’s why I fell in love with @bot cause it allows me to be me again. It takes away the things I don’t have time to do. I can record a video and just tell a bot to fix the audio, scrub out sensitive data, post it to youtube with chapters and title and description, create a linkedin post, dev to post, add video to my site and so much more and walk away from the computer cause this all happens in the cloud. Actually I can even use the phone app to approve a post or delegate a task. That’s powerful. So now I just need to focus on recording a video or writing a post. And that’s why I love @bot cause I feel like Im back. I have super powers again. And I really think this product or similar ones in the future are just going to be a must for everyone cause it gives you time back. And on that note. Im off to bed before a toddler wakes needing me.
