Been playing around with Muse, I'm impressed. I prefer Claude for business, but Muse is probably my favorite for personal use already. What's crazy is that it's free (for the vast majority of users)... Right now, Meta is NOT monetizing the app other than paid subscription tiers which really only apply to power users (just to cover compute). So what's really in it for Meta down the road? 🤔 - Infinite user data to influence ad targeting - New ad inventory real estate - Commerce transaction fees 1/ Data for ad targeting Meta is building an absolute treasure trove of deeply personal data on users who are now chatting with Muse and connecting their email, payments, calendars, etc. Muse can see your inbox (products you buy, trips you take, your life stage, what you do for work, the newsletters you read), your payment and spending activity, and the tasks you hand it (what you're dealing with right now). The list goes on. Meta says Muse data isn't used in its ads system... for now. But if and when it is? Forget it. That's how Meta's already world-class ads algo gets another lift. Targeting will be on another level. 2/ Ad inventory Meta is building tons of new real estate for eventual ad placements. I think this is at least a year out, since user adoption is the priority right now. 3/ Commerce take rates Muse is already personal shopping for users. As far as I know, it doesn't take a cut from Shopify merchants on the transactions it facilitates today, but that could easily change if it proves it can drive incremental revenue for brands.
