Choose to not play the game. If you can’t figure out how to play it for fun vs playing it for money, you’ll draw down big. It’s inevitable. It’s human nature. I’ve studied gambling psychology for 30 years. I’ve studied myself. I play poker 5x a week now. It’s controlled risk. I play table games twice a year in Vegas. For fun. Idc if I win or lose. You can’t beat table games long term. It’s just math. I’m not trying to win. I stopped playing them for large sums. I don’t leverage trade. I did once in March 2021. I lost. I knew I had no edge and moved on. I had my sports betting phase 20 years ago. Now I do fantasy football and World Cup parlays and nfl td parlays for small sums. I call it maintenance gambling. I had that mind set shift in 2012. Long before I made it. I didn’t play a table game or place a sports bet for 6 years. I played poker the whole time tho. And when I went back to sports and table games it was only just to dabble. Maintenance gambling. People who tweet $1M sports tickets are either fake or dumb and haven’t learned the lesson yet. To make a 1M bet you should have a nw of 250M or more. The people tweeting those tickets definitely do not have that. Every gambler hits a hot streak. That’s the allure. But over time the house always wins. Only put real money in things you have an edge. And very few people in the world have an edge in gambling. I certainly don’t and I’ve been doing it for decades.
