The problem right now with crypto isnt retail not returning, it’s the centralized exchanges. The most insider controlled and profit prioritized business in crypto that favors the highest bidders rather than onboarding the masses to projects that deserve the exposure. Take the recent Binance and Robinhood listings: Binance listed MARSCOIN and created a $240M+ wick. Down 61%. NIU LAI listing creates $139M wick and instantly down40%+. Robinhood lists Cashcat etc, 300m wick. down 50%+. Same story each time - Insiders sell the news. Retail becomes exit liquidity and get caught holding the bag, realizing they were sold something at inflated prices. The only way to fix this is proper asset selection and non-insider populated listings. Coins with real fundamentals and abundant holder bases. A strong enough crowd to absorb sellers and welcome new buyers to their rapidly growing army. If I’m an exchange, I’m seriously looking at $CATE. It’s the only coin on the market that has shown its resilience through multiple 80% + pullbacks and bounced each time. And it’s the only project to onboard retail in a safe way without insiders manipulating them. A listing that is well deserved and gives access to onchain projects that were done the right way. The old school way of die hard communities. 121K+ holders within 45 days. 82k+ holders on FOMO. 500m+ all time volume. Real community with real distribution. The little guy story is one that we can all get behind. If there’s any honor left within CEXs, I’d imagine they would be jumping at the chance to revisit those glorious bull run coins like WIF, DOGE, PEPE, SHIBA, etc instead of being the top signal for insiders to dump on time and time again. All of those coins had one thing in common - a CULT-like, die hard, battle tested community. And CATE is the closest thing we have seen since in the last few years. I rest my case.
