I felt evil like I've never felt before while standing on the Temple Mount, especially next to the Dome of the Rock. The Temple Mount was swarming with flies and smelled of urine. The place where the altar would have stood had trash everywhere. When I got too close to the open doors of the Dome of the Rock, two Muslim women sitting there aggressively barked, "No! Back!" at me with pure rage in their eyes. I just wanted to look in. If you are unaware, non-Muslim prayer is forbidden on the Temple Mount. But the evil was so thick that I called my wife over and told her we had to pray right then and there—illegally—just to push back against the oppression in the air. It's sad to see what should be a holy beacon so remarkably abused.
