Go in for a $30 oil change and be told you need $300 in repairs. That’s how they lure you in. After getting my performance car tuned, my oil changes went from $115 at the dealer to close to $1500 because of the fluids involved, that to me is justified especially for the amount of hp I have. But back then I was changing the oil on an 1989 Ford Escort, it should have been the advertised $30. I later found out I didn’t even have a rear differential on that front wheel drive car, I feel they tried to scam me into getting a service for parts on the car I didn’t even have.
