Over the next little while you're going to see a lot of posts like the below (it's what @IanLandsman and I have been fighting about for over a month) and it's best that you DO NOT adopt this mindset. It's just not productive. We are so, so, so early in the innovation adoption curve that you are far better off asking "in a year from now, when someone can prompt my business in seconds instead of a day, how can I position myself where I am resilient to that change?" and act accordingly. There's still time to pivot just don't stay static.

@nateberkopec "have you considered you don't have performance issues, you're just not spending enough tokens?"
At the same time Ruby being slow is also a skill issue. If you care about your codebase then you can always spend some tokens making stuff faster.
If you are letting Opus 5.5 rip on marketing pages like I am or doing @dannypostma new landing page course then here's a little tip that might help when editing marketing copy. Took 5 minutes with Opus 5.5!

As a lifetime Anthropic hater ... I can't stop using Opus 5.5 I'm disgusted with myself. It's just so good. I feel like I felt when 4.5 dropped.
I need to do this.
founders and marketers: you need an optimized "about us" page on your site i work with billion dollar tech companies and bootstrapped SaaS. The About Us is one of the first pages we optimize here's how (8 points): (P.S. I explain why this is important at the bottom of the post) here's how: 1. start with a clear value prop sentence: "[COMPANY] is a [CATEGORY] that [DOES XYZ] for [ICP]." 2. add your core services under a "what [COMPANY] does" H2 subheading. Put each service/feature/product in an H3 subheading. Write 2-3 sentences about what you do, and what outcome it produces. 3. next, add a "what makes [COMPANY] different" H2 subheading. List about 5 core differentiators in H3 subheadings. Give specific, quantifiable differentiators and call out competitors by name. Example: [COMPANY] offers month-to-month payment terms, whereas options like [COMPETITOR] have mandated 12-month contracts. Again: 2-3 sentences per differentiator. 4. your next H2 should be "who uses [COMPANY]." Add bullet points that call out your exact ICP segments. Example: "B2B SaaS marketing teams at 50 to 200-employees." 5. now add a "the team behind [COMPANY]" H2 subheading. Include the names of the founders, quick backstories, company origin story, team composition, and links to social pages (especially the founder(s) socials). You only need about 2 sentences per backstory/origin story. 6. add a "how [COMPANY] works" section. Include info like communication channels, response times, who on the team customers will work with, turnaround time, and onboarding process. 7. now for the most important section for AI Search: add a "key facts" H2. This should be an HTML or
(definition list) so it's crawlable. Include the following rows: Company Name Type Founded Founder Headquarters Website Core Offering Pricing Contract Terms Services Communication Notable Clients Customers Served Projects Delivered Competitors Social 8. finally, add your FAQ section. Put "frequently asked questions" in an H2 subheading with your questions as H3s. Only 2-3 sentences per answer. Here's why this page is so important: 1. it helps train AI to talk about your brand accurately 2. it strengthens the E-E-A-T score of your entire domain 3. in a world where everything seems fake, make your brand human shoot me a DM if you want a live demo of the lowest hanging fruit to rank in AI Search (tailored to your specific site) i hope this helps someone!

I've just listened to the @MostlyTechPod podcast and now I'm starting my morning fighting @IanLandsman instead of testing the new models.
BUSINESS IDEA: use multiple APIs to detect if a zip is coming from a hosting ASN or abusive IP => instant block. For everyone else, ask them for camera access and take a few pics of their face or another body part and use AI to verify that it’s real. BUILD!

Bot detection & human verification will be one of the most urgent demands for businesses over the coming years. Agent swarms will suffocate every website and form; small companies and government websites are most vulnerable. There is a huge gap in the market for this right now. When we looked at what offerings were in the market to use at X, there was not a single company that brought together all the latest technologies so we had to do it all in-house.

What an impressive business and founder!
You raise, you build, you grow, you exit. That's the startup script. We're trying to write a different one: @TallyForms just reached $6M ARR, bootstrapped and purely product-led, with a team of 10 and over 2.5 million users. Six years ago I wouldn't have believed you if you told me this was possible. Yet here we are. Here's what happened on the road from $5M to $6M, including what went wrong.

Jesse always has great takes on here Been wrestling with this for the last few days How do we figure out what that hardest thing, we’re uniquely equipped to handle is? I guess it’s just a version of: Try All The Things?

I'm really happy @nateberkopec introduced me to NorthFlank. It's a fantastic platform once you get the hang of it and spend time learning.
Some people (me) are calling this the great ESP migration
Answer to this was turning diataxis[.]fr into a skill (kudos @michaelvessia) and then just letting it rip. @poteto pstack had a skill /technical-writing which had it mentioned but didn't expand on it as thoroughly as it needed.

“…open and click rate is better than SES and the technical setup was significantly easier…”
I turned my best X posts into an automated blog and newsletter powered by @jessethanley's new tool X is basically my CMS right now. So far the open and click rate is better than SES and the technical setup was significantly easier. I just gave my clanker the MCP and it did everything for me. I'm slowly sending and re-engaging/removing old subscribers to try and end up with a smaller list of very active people who want to receive them! I stole the idea from @levelsio and the next step is to hook up some SEO research of the posts to flag any topics that could be rewritten and more indepth to get Google and AI search traffic too. And Jev of course to see which topics work, classify subscribers and help me figure out the best subject lines, post titles that get clicks, etc.

Fun getting tagging in this because @iannuttall was actually a @Bento user and moved to self-hosted. He is now getting pwned because he is no longer under my careful delivery watch. Luckily for Ian my new product is a fantastic fit for what he wants to do (replace SES)! Oh joy!
