I joined about a month after you opened HC, my first regret was I didn't do it right away. I started to observe more than trade right away; it's hard for me to do things without understanding. Along the way I started to get the idea of corridor, relative attractiveness and fundamental work that is done at the background. My trading confidence increased in multiples that is hard to calculate. My capital allocated to trading is growing as well as my income. And I am not even using margin (yet). So, anyone worrying about the fees, it's understandable, however you will return multiples on what you spend, and incrementally more in knowledge.
