living in a city is for wealth generation, living on the coast is for enjoying the wealth created
i could never live in a city again personally. people have time where i live, they value flexibility. i can make last minute plans or just ask if anyone is free for a coffee and people are. my days are unpredictable and lovely as a result
my girlfriend lived in a city her whole life and if we try to make plans with her friends everyone is busy, everything needs to be planned months in advanced
spontaneous connection and socialising is the most beautiful thing in the world, i could never spend time somewhere where ppl aspire to be busy and that is usually what happens in cities

Living in a big city is crucial for everything. Better jobs, more high IQ people, more risk takers, prettier people, in general just way more opportunities in every aspect of life. It also increases your probability of luck finding you.
