Pools like USDC/USDT or WBTC/cbBTC carry information most pools don't: both tokens track the same asset, so you know where the fair price sits.
That makes direction meaningful. Swaps that push the pool off par benefit LPs. Swaps that pull it back to par take from them.
Existing asymmetric fee designs on the market today read that signal backwards. StablePair Hook reads it right.
