One more use case I found is just persisting some information.
You're filling a form, and once you click the button, you'll never see that data again, but what if you need to have it? You can paste it to Notes, etc, but just Shift + Shift and it's persisted without additional clicks; you can read it again later.
Same for code, really huge when working with agents
