I’ve always been an alt girl-I simply grew up and discovered how to meaningfully break the machine.
l think a lot of millennial women are quietly grieving a life they thought they'd have by now.
The goal was to get 3 new peach trees by the end of this year. I have one planted, and so far it’s already got 5 little peaches (and a wire fortress to keep the deer at bay-don’t worry we do share eventually but our friends are impatient)

Same. Finally got the anti chiclen regs rolled back this spring!
This is the way!
Your eggs are lovely btw!
Just dropped off a dozen fresh eggs on my HOA president’s doorstep so I can keep chickens in my backyard. This is what corruption looks like!
🥳 My chickens 🐓 are completely quilted, binded, washed, and dried! Another quilt totally finished and I'm just so happy with this girlie.
My dopamine hit is amazing today 🤣🥰

The Olive Egger Mama rejected the chick she hatched and the others didn’t want to raise that one. So we now have a single house chick. She owns this place.
Update: we’re at 4 now. The moms are teaming up.
She’s still at it and I have another 2 I can’t break of it. One’s sitting on a dozen the other is fiercely defending a single egg. We’ll see how it goes.
I’m a huge believer in tipping culture. I love tipping; however, if you have an Etsy shop or whatever, don’t ask for tip a checkout. I have assumed you’ve priced your items accordingly already. Tipping is out of place here-it’s for services.

@w0rm_face @denverbitcoin Flocked is super pissed about it and they’re trying to sue the guy running the site. I hope they lose.

the most important question to ask in a relationship:
“do we want the same things or not?”
Picked up an old grass scythe from a yard sale for $10. Cleaned up the blade and adjusted the grips. It’s faster than a push mower for grass on slopes/spots we can’t graze. I was very pleasantly surprised.
One day I’ll get a proper mower, but this will be fine for now.

I don’t care how much money you have, you can’t buy food this good. You must grow it on your own.
Gotta love how the cost for a combo hunting/fishing license has increased 18% from last year-during a time where food insecurity is increased due to inflation.

Update:
All the advice and tips were much appreciated. There are so many ways to make homemade vanilla extract and it’s going to be fun to try variations. For my first attempt, this is what I ended up using. I will have 3 quarts in the next six months to a year or more.

Next project: homemade vanilla extract.
This is a first for me so I will be happy to receive any advice and tips.

Didn’t do my own starts this year, so I phoned it in with the local HS plant sale. Kids did pretty good and the funds go to their FFA Club.
I love our neighbors. Old school hippies from the Bay Area, they love to hire neighborhood kids. There’s still a bunch of them out there!
Boomers will be outsourcing jobs from right out of under the neighbor kids' noses until they die.
I don't follow much of the boomer hate that goes around this place. But their desire to outsource everything does drive me crazy. This is $2600 that could have stayed local.

I saw the wife grab ground turkey at the store so I shouted I'm being assaulted. She put it back.
