I’m looking forward to a @robotaxi road trip being a viable way of transportation across long distances. I’m kinda of tired of flying and airports.
The part of the singularity worth measuring is the event horizon. The point no one can see beyond. In real life that may be the moment robots can build and self replicate in public. After that all the unknowns of the minds we built will likely exit our existing sci-fi predictions

What is your favorite definition of "the singularity"? And according to that definition are we already inside of it? How would we know?
Still working on more efficient pipelines, hopefully something I’m happy with to share soon. I am feature creeping a bit by trying to get much longer clips stable. Getting close, the last stitch is the most noticeable. @DreamLabLA @LumaLabsAI

Finally trying the new @Waymo The automatic doors would have been cooler if they automatically opened when I got to them. The intro video when you get in was very long and annoying and I couldn’t get it to stop. It feels like a very tiny upgrade as far as the futuristic feeling.

White walls, green screens, grey walls, and other flat color “voids” are worse for tracking your Ai Hybrid production than more natural environments.
At the blue hour, a hitman crosses the marble floor to silence the one contract he never thought to question. "L'heure Bleue" created by: Bryan Soegondo @DreamLabLA Made with Luma

The most important change required for humans to feeling symbiotic with Ai is for language to become secondary to physical input. When any physical action can be respected with as much granularity as desired, it will start feeling like a limb, true play, and a deep craft.

We are serious about play.

I frickin love this. So fun.
Two headsets Networking the same 4DGB Emulator in real time With all of the rendering options able to be changed independently from each other This is so epic, I am going to cry 😭

It would be wild if the current HBM/AI memory buildout ends up making 1TB+ of fast shared memory normal on mainstream devices within a few years.
Less prompt, more play. A big difference between the evolution of Ai and and the evolution of home computers is we’ll end up going very suddenly from the text based (ms dos) era text input focus, to a better than we’ve ever seen mixed reality experience. @DreamLabLA @LumaLabsAI

Seedance 2.5 really wants to change the input camera motion, parallax, and performances. Changing or adding motion can be helpful, but most of the time I just wish it defaulted to better motion adherence. Made with @LumaLabsAI at @DreamLabLA

Someone seems to have built a fake site: appealpostx . com in order to send phishing emails for passwords. The premise is appealing copyright claims on @X . Just something to be aware of.
There’s a trend I’ve seen over my career, of people building high-quality content that slowly builds respect and fandom. But when they start putting out quick support content, they see the overall number go up. Often the response ends up being to eat away at what people connect to in order to move that number up faster. That consistently ends up building a higher house of cards to fall off when the numbers can’t support the connection. The companies I saw do this were because of YouTube. YouTube wasn’t the problem, it was people’s desperation to make the line go up. I have no reason to believe AI won’t be exactly the same. Lots of people will rot out their value by trying to overproduce at all cost. And others will build empires of fandom and loyalty using the new technology. As AI becomes a more stable and reliable place for humans to build, most of the fear and hate will fall away. What will still be harder to recover from is how much people have undermined their value by spamming noise instead of connecting with people.

We’re definitely seeing more and more hints of this.
What happens when footage with “perfect VFX” is instant & cheap? The internet will be flooded with all kinds of productions from podcasts to TikTok drowning in spectacle. If spectacle is everywhere and no longer special will natural human stories become the “blockbusters?”

When “shippable” outpaces real time unrestrained feature creep, this last gasp of traditional software is going to empower very surprising products.
