It is always a sad day when you have to sunset a product that people have poured their heart and soul into... ❤️ Notion Mail was our attempt to bring malleable software to email. But, the future of software is about doing the work, not just displaying the work. Anyone who has ever worked on a mail client knows how long the long tail of an insanely great email client is. The features, the parsing, the reliability, the security, etc. Instead, we have decided to put our attention towards triaging, organizing, and acting on your email -- which is where we have seen much stronger user pull in Notion. And we are investing in much much cheaper models for managing email via agents. It is also worth pointing out that we feel differently about Notion Calendar. Time is visual, much more so than a list of text that is quite comfortable in a chat thread, a database, etc. Not to mention that Notion Calendar is already a much more loved product by all of you than Notion Mail ever was.
