We got Quinn Emanuel disqualified today for violating its duty of loyalty to us. Winning this MDQ was like triumphing over two Chodes for the price of one.
Twitter. There is no substitute. 🤣
@gpv100xxx @callistores @muddywatersre @Activ8Insights Defendants? Was unaware of your appointment as prosecutor. Also, you’re a paranoid, fucked in the head loon.
iGaming Business picks up on the 1xBet/ $SRAD fake copyright takedowns. Any other shorts or research types had DMCA turned against them? h/t @Activ8Insights

Can't imagine why people would care that $SRAD, licensed in a whooooooole bunch of US jurisdictions is highly dependent on a lawless gambling group with extensive criminal history. Just puzzled.
It appears someone really, really doesn't want people to see the mentions in our $SRAD report of 1xBet. 9/x 🖕

$SRAD: someone impersonated @muddywatersre in an attempt to render coverage of our Sportradar report invisible. This person has previously claimed to act on behalf of 1xBet, an illegal gambling behemoth whose founders are fugitives from justice. Why does this matter? 🧵 1/

Someone impersonated us to request Google remove links to our report on $SRAD. We learned of this from @Activ8Insights who provides significant detail on the impersonation attempt. A lot of roads seem to lead to 1xBet. We identified 1xBet as a SRAD customer that has links to organized crime. Our SRAD report mentions 1xBet 42 times. It's time to re-up many of those mentions. Stay tuned. 🖕

Someone posed as one short seller to get another short seller's research de-indexed from Google. We followed the trail. It leads to a gambling operator.
Apollo's internal presentation on First Brands has surfaced, the same deck that led to a bespoke short position on the Term Loan. What did Apollo catch before anyone else: cash flow never matched claimed margins, 20% operating margins were unbelievable for the business and its many acquisitions, and the CEO had a long trail of failed entities with almost zero public footprint. Apollo then declined to buy Katsumi’s factored invoice exposure, shorted the debt, and made money. Katsumi allegedly saw massive invoice fraud in 2023 samples yet kept funding billions more. Sometimes, the edge is just reading the financial statements and looking up the CEO on Google. Shoutout to the Financial Times for obtaining the deck.

Correct, seemingly innocuously shown when the CCP blathers that somebody/something has “hurt the feelings of the Chinese people EVERYWHERE”. It reflects their view of transnational sovereignty.
The CCP has openly racist citizenship policies that claim authority over people it considers Chinese, even if they are citizens of another country. And Luke de Pulford says the world continues to tolerate it. “Most people don’t know that Chinese law regarding citizenship is fundamentally racist.” “Somebody who is born in China, let’s say they move to the United Kingdom and they have children in the United Kingdom.” “And their children’s children are born in the United Kingdom.” “Their children’s children’s children will still be regarded by the Chinese Communist Party as Chinese and they will claim dominion over them.” “They will reject whatever nationality they have been given and they will assert Chinese law over those people.” “It goes to the heart of the frankly ethno-nationalism of the Chinese Communist Party.” “Totally extraordinary that the rest of the world just allows it.” @lukedepulford

Free market capitalism is how the shittiest trader at DE Shaw became one of the world’s richest people - by leaving to start a business in his garage selling books over something called “the internet”. Or how a Harvard student started a business that kicked the ass of the incumbent, MySpace. Or how an immigrant took over a struggling EV half company to make it one of the most valuable companies on the planet. And then figured out how to launch satellites and astronauts at a fraction of the bloated incumbent’s cost. Saying we don’t have true free market capitalism because we have oligarchs is a bumper sticker slogan, but not reality.

@muddywatersre The current system has long stopped to be a free market capitalism, and removing oligarchs from power and retaking some of their assets is not communism. To the contrary, it enables to restore free markets with a level playing field and also democracy.

To be fair, he must know that as the CA wealth tax threshold gradually gets lowered to the low 8-figures, he’ll get clipped too. If that’s the cost of the nomination in 2028, he’ll pay it.
@RoKhanna says he doesn’t trade stocks. His family trusts, however, reported 4,284 trades worth $59M+ last year; the household disclosures show nine-figure assets, and his children’s trusts reportedly hold stakes in three private golf clubs. Now the government should lend money to pay a wealth tax? I mean, how could a guy making more trades than some hedge funds take advantage of that...
