Elon Musk laid out what could make or break our AI future in his November 2025 interview with Nikhil Kamath. He emphasized that the single most important thing is for AI to relentlessly pursue truth above everything else. Forcing AI to believe falsehoods or absorb propaganda is incredibly dangerous — it can lead to absurd conclusions and real harm. He referenced Voltaire: those who believe absurdities can commit atrocities. And pointed to HAL 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey as a warning about what happens when you make an AI lie. Truth, beauty, and curiosity: those three values, according to Elon, are the foundation for AI that helps humanity instead of harming it. In a time when so much training data is biased and there's heavy pressure on what AI is “allowed” to say, the focus on raw truth-seeking feels more important than ever. Get truth wrong with AI, and everything else falls apart. Do you think we can actually build AI that prioritizes truth above all, or will human biases always win?
