My prediction of asia brokerages supporting hip-3 became truth after 3 weeks. This is a direct screenshot from FUTU, the robinhood of Asia
Most chinese people use FUTU to gain exposure on US equities. After the ban last month which stopped them from serving all customers from mainland china, they launched hip-3 front-end within a month
It's also much cheaper and faster to launch equity perps front-end than to launch a equity pair with tradfi broker-dealer-clearing model. @vladtenev has publicly spoken many times that the cost is 10x cheaper
and the better thing is, you don't even need KYC anymore at least for now
