Elon Musk Twitter has this week in Dublin, over several days, lodged six separate judicial review applications against decisions by taxpayer-enabled Coimisiun na Mean, the €60m behemoth which is both funding Irish media and regulating what is said by Irish media (carrot and stick) from its swanky offices in the most expensive part of Dublin, with headcount gone from zero to nearly 300 in three years. CnM may be able to bully and arm-twist domestic media to do its bidding with news output, but it's a small fish in a big pond when it comes to Twitter. Twitter has launched nine judicial reviews against CnM in 2026, bringing to more than a dozen the overall number pending, all to do with censorship of Twitter and shaking Twitter down for fees to bolster its €60m budget.
