Yesterday in Dublin, the Companies Registration Office (CRO) restored to the companies register the Dublin-based Russian financial institution RZD Capital PLC, a massive company through which billions of euro passed in funding to Russian state railways between 2005-2025. RZD was dissolved in August 2025 after its directors and auditors resigned because of EU sanctions. After dissolution, the entire assets of the company vested in the Irish taxpayer, safeguarded by the public expenditure minister Jack Chambers, @jackfchambers A month ago, the High Court ordered the restoration of the company to the companies register based on a petition represented by a tiny 2-partner Dublin firm of solicitors. We are now seeing signs (or at least listings) indicating that €150m bonds in RZD Capital PLC are again being traded. Bonds due for redemption in 2028. What is going on, and specifically are there €150m of assets in that company which belonged to the taxpayer since the dissolution until the restoration last month?

CnM may be able to bully and arm-twist domestic media to do its bidding with news output, but it's a small fish in a big pond when it comes to Twitter. Twitter has launched nine judicial reviews against CnM in 2026, bringing to more than a dozen the overall number pending, all to do with censorship of Twitter and shaking Twitter down for fees to bolster its €60m budget.

What are they playing at? And is the public expenditure minister @jackfchambers keeping an eye on RZD assets which vest in the taxpayer after last year's dissolution? While RZD remains dissolved at the Companies Registration Office in Dublin, we are now seeing indicatons of curious trade in €150m of RZD bonds which mature in two years. Why would anyone buy a bond in a company which was dissolved amid sanctions?

Reminded today that Gardai still haven't published their hate crime/non-crime report for 2025, it is usually published in April or the very start of May each year. Are Gardai rethinking their approach to the whole area of non-crime incidents which were at the heart of Michelle Keane's initial encounter with the Kerry garda sergeant, which eventually led to lengthy defamation proceedings, jailing and various appeals to higher courts. Or have they looked across the Irish Sea and seen British police abandoning non-crime incidents in the wake of the Fr Ted creator Graham Linehan @Glinner arrest scandal, and decided to quietly abandon such policing here?

She was jailed by controversial no-friend-of-cyclists Judge James O'Donohoe, below, at a circuit court sitting in Listowel. Judge O'Donohoe has now been roundly criticised in Michelle's case by the High Court, according to Gript. It's an offshoot of a larger defamation claim by a Kerry garda sergeant who successfully claimed before the courts in Kerry she was defamed by comments made by Michelle. This was after the Garda had contacted Michelle about Tweets, seemingly a non-crime hate-related incident. Michelle recorded the phone call, and posted comments on Twitter which the Garda successfully claimed were defamatory. We haven't see the latest High Court ruling, it's not on the courts website yet, but it appears to be a solid (if novel, see below for a selection from the current list of her High Court cases) victory for Michelle. Nice to see her happy with the courts for once!

Other platforms, TikTok & Meta have also a small number of cases pending against CnM. But Twitter is the stand-out platform pushing back against the censorious money-grabbing CnM.
