"Optimally you don't want to trust them, you want to have levers or mechanisms in place to guarantee you're still getting what you were promised"
Rakka, founder of Omnipair, on why verifiability matters more than trusting the team
"For investors and supporters, the question is how can I guarantee I get my part of it, because that's stressful in crypto. When you trust a team, optimally you don't want to have to trust them, you want mechanisms in place to guarantee you're not trusting them and still getting what you were promised"
"I don't think there's one specific design that works and others don't, I don't believe in that. Equity, dual equity and token, or just the token, all can work, unless it's fundamentally broken. But some require more trust in the founders, and some minimize that trust, which is always better. That's where verifiability comes in, and with AI now investors can actually get to see where the token goes, where the value goes"
"If you go to the V1, we have the contract open source. You can find the code, pass it to Claude and ask where the revenue flows to, and it points you to an address that's our treasury. You don't need to trust that it goes into our wallet and we send it to treasury, you can verify the code yourself and do that due diligence, see if things are clear or shady. The model itself can be anything, but you need this transparency. What I want people to do more is actually go to the pool and verify where the money comes from and where it goes"
