“You set women back by—” Literally, shut the fuck up. You set women back when you start policing how other women are allowed to exist, present themselves, or use their own bodies. If a woman wants to do porn, be a computer scientist, become a CEO, be a stay-at-home mom, or do all of the above; the entire fucking point of women’s rights is that she gets to choose. “I support women” apparently comes with a million terms and conditions for some of you. You support women as long as they behave in a way you personally deem respectable. The second a woman is sexual, provocative, successful in a way you don’t approve of, or simply comfortable using her beauty, suddenly she’s “setting women back.” Some of you are so consumed by jealousy, resentment, and this desperate need to establish yourselves as the “better kind” of woman that you don’t realize you’re participating in the exact same policing you claim to hate. A woman making a scientific breakthrough deserves to be celebrated. A woman who wants to take her clothes off deserves the freedom to do that too. Neither woman’s autonomy diminishes the other. You are not morally or intellectually superior to another woman because you disapprove of how she uses her own body. My God, get a grip. All this vicious discourse does is give loser ass men more fodder to sit back, point, laugh, and watch women tear each other apart.
