One more update from this big week at Grab! We’re expanding our Singapore AV fleet by 5X, to 50 vehicles, in the next 6 months. We’ve been collaborating with the Singapore government to finetune and expand our service in one of the city’s residential neighborhoods. And now, we’re planning to take our service beyond it. 12,000+ people have ridden our AVs, developed with @WeRide_ai , covering over 110,000 autonomous kilometres – that’s almost 70k miles. Over 1,000 people are on our waitlist for new AV experiences, including on-demand, point-to-point rides. Super excited to start serving them. Southeast Asia is still early in its AV journey. But we’ve been quietly building our AV capabilities from the ground up for some time, starting with Singapore - harnessing our data advantage and hyperlocal insights to drive deployment and adoption. Plan is for the lessons we learn to guide us in deploying thousands more AVs across Southeast Asia by 2030. What we’re betting on is a hybrid mobility world, with AVs and human drivers complementing each other as demand grows. And right now, we’re building a range of AV capabilities, from demand integration to fleet management, so we can shape the future of mobility for Southeast Asia.
