And other people in his organization kept up that fight even after he was imprisoned in 2021. Hell, Ukraine's SBU, the counter intelligence agency, has found evidence that pro-Russian oligarchs were funding Navalny. Westerners support Navalny because we're idiots. He's ultimately no different than Prigozhin: anti-Putin, because he wanted to be in charge.

I think for Westerners, they think of things through their own lens of humanity, compassion and stuff. So when you think of an opposition in fascist dictatorship fighting anti-humane war, you naturally think they oppose it because they war is bad and they want it to stop. But in fact, they oppose how uneffective current war management is - and they hope to be in power to kill Ukrainians more effectively. Literally Navalny team in a nuttshell.
