I don't know if this is fully understood yet or if everyone is aware of it but every 12 hours the backing of the Punks purchased this way gets lowered by 1 Eth, all the way down to 1 Eth, and lower backing means higher odds of getting pulled on FWA. So if nobody hits the Punk early, it progressively becomes easier and easier to pull until you eventually have a Punk sitting in the FWA machine with just 1 Eth of backing and that's probably one of the cheapest ways to ever have a real shot at acquiring a Punk.
