Pre AI, for indiehackers it was best to focus on niche ideas. I just saw Squad and it's a "big idea", the type that would usually be tackled by a VC funded company. It's all changed. With AI, indies can tackle big ideas. Not clear what advantage funding gets you in 2026.

I am so grateful for the journey that led me to this... It started when I sold my previous SaaS product (Feather) to Tibo. Then I met Tibo for the first time at the @HackerResidency - where Tibo said he also started building his own agent platform. So I was quite curious about it as we had already built the first version of (then called MissionControlHQ) by then. So we showed it to Tibo to get his feedback - that is when everything changed for us. He had so many ideas on how to improve the product. 1. He initially started as a normal user of the product to give us feedback 2. Then he became a power user using it more than any other user 3. Then he started running his businesses on Squad, doing outreach, support, influencer partnerships and so much more During all this time, the feedback never stopped. He kept on giving us feedback, we kept on improving the product based on his feedback. It came to a point where majority of what is good with Squad came from the ideas and feedback given by Tibo. So the natural next step for us is to partner with him to take this to the full potential that we all know it can reach... Squad wouldn't have existed without all the feedback given by @tibo_maker and many of the early access users. Super thankful for @HackerResidency - which is what helped make this happen. more context: 2 years ago, I acquired Feather from Bhanu we stayed in touch since, not just about Feather, but about everything we were doing in our businesses then a few months ago, we met for the first time irl in Vietnam at @HackerResidency he showed me what he was building, and how he and Dheeraj were running MCHQ and SiteGPT completely using Squad, just the 2 of them, no team whatsoever I was blown away 🤯 I'd been running 5-6 AI agents in parallel for my own portfolio. the issue was always the same: I had to jump between apps to see what each one was doing, then re-prompt, then chase again for updates Squad (formerly MissionControlHQ) fixed all of it for me I set up the jobs, Squad runs them automatically, I get the output, and most days I don't open it one dashboard, all my agents in one place, coordinating with each other instead of going through me at every step so Bhanu and I got to talking, and we found a way to work on this together 🤩 we've been building quietly for the last few months, and today it's finally out I'm extremely proud of what we've built in the last few months can't wait to see how people actually use Squad 🙌
