It was an honor to design the EF Mandate, a document carrying the spirit of Ethereum.
The journey from the first version to the final one felt almost spiritual. At some point, I had to step away from the designer’s usual mindset — thinking about “good design” or what people might like — and instead surrender to something larger: a field of pure energy, an abundance of love, a collective consciousness and wisdom beyond individual perception, and a kind of divine light guiding us. Sounds like I was on something, right? But I was not!!!
By letting go of my own aesthetic boundaries (which were my limits) and breaking through them, I found a kind of creative freedom. What emerged naturally from that state became a visual interpretation of energy itself, which I placed into the EF Mandate.
This process was inseparable from deeply syncing myself with Ethereum’s vision: a world computer that embodies freedom.
Grateful to
@shiro57102 for collaborating in this creative play, and to my friend
@emmaaibara for contributing several pieces.
And sincere thanks to the EF board members
@AyaMiyagotchi and
@VitalikButerin for publishing this mandate and for having me design it, as well as
@_Enoch from the Silviculture Society, and the EF designers (
@nLoureiro,
@renaissancing_,
@asbet0s, and Kat) who shared valuable input throughout the process.
Let’s go, Ethereum!!
