Just wrapped up my first private Hermes Agent training class. 2 hours of going deep on Hermes, agents, workflows, tooling, and just how POWERFUL this agent really is. This is exactly the kind of work I want to be doing more of. Helping people understand what’s possible with AI agents, then showing them how to turn that into something useful in the real world. 🚨 Hermes GPT 0.12.0 is OUT. And this release crosses a pretty important line: Hermes GPT can now go from observing problems to actually taking bounded action. The new L2 controller execution engine can: - detect a problem - classify the failure - determine the smallest recovery action - choose the right machine - dispatch the work All while preserving the approval, authorization, secret, and safety boundaries already built into the system. And budgets just got teeth too. Missions can now have a real hard budget breaker that can automatically pause execution when the configured limit is crossed, fire a fleet attention interrupt, and record exactly what happened. Both systems are deliberately DEFAULT OFF and require multiple explicit gates before anything executes. That matters. The goal isn’t an agent that recklessly “does stuff.” It’s infrastructure where increasingly autonomous agents can actually operate without throwing human control out the damn window. Hermes GPT started as a way to connect ChatGPT to Hermes Agent. It’s becoming an operating layer for an entire fleet. 0.12.0 is live. 🔥

Well… I launched Hermes Fleet on public TestFlight today. And then discovered the build I shipped was broken. Not “tiny visual bug” broken. The app had regressed and was showing an older version of the UI. So that was a fun way to celebrate launch day. 😂 I could quietly swap the build, pretend nothing happened, and only post the wins. But that’s not how I want to build this. If I’m going to build Hermes Fleet in public, you’re getting the failures too. I screwed this one up. The good news is I caught it quickly, I know what happened, and I’m already validating the corrected build on my own phone before anything else goes public. Lesson learned: A build isn’t done because CI is green. It isn’t done because TestFlight accepts it. And it definitely isn’t done because you’re excited to ship it. The damn thing needs to be in your hand and verified. So public TestFlight launch day included: ✅ App approved ✅ Public link live ✅ Immediate excitement ✅ Immediate regret ✅ Emergency rebuild Software development remains an extremely normal profession. 🤘🏻
