Before these models, this level of scrutiny was impossible…no single person has the expertise to know the right framing questions to ask on every topic. Now, anyone can weigh the upside vs. downside. Once you do, you realize venues like the @nytimes are completely useless.

This may be the point: portray anyone with real-world experience as too conflicted to serve in government so only professional bureaucrats/activists/NGO-types (with the same views as NYT reporters) are eligible.
