Every August 1st, at 5pm sirens sound across Warsaw to commemorate the outbreak of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
The city comes to a standstill for a minute to honor the fallen.
250 000 Poles were killed in the 63-day-long uprising against the Germans.
