Recall Commentator Larry Bird's priceless: "See, the to score more POINTS than the other team."
Again, new to soccer, so pardon me, but it seems that even though the US team is worse than England, the US strategy of scoring goals (more than the other team) is working better than the English strategy of *not* scoring goals.
