AND the J-50 is a twin engine 6th-gen design. Funny how you left the J-50 out to construct your narrative.
NATO cheerleaders always default to "China can't" rather than "China has a different set of requirement that necessitates a 3 engine set up."
Also the argument that China is fielding the WS-15; A F119 class engine, thus is 30-odd years behind the US is also utter nonsense.
China first flew the J-20 in 2011, 14 years behind the F-22. But with all evidences that we can see, China flew TWO 6th-gen fighters years before the maiden flight of F-47.

Fewer engines are always better if you can meet power demands (reduces design work, production, material costs, weight, maintenance, etc).
China has struggled to match American turbofan technology for years (you could argue they only recently caught up with Pratt’s F119 from 1990 in the last few years).
