You can’t “defend democracy” by destroying democracy. You can’t “fight election interference” by interfering with elections. You either have freedom of speech and fair elections — or you don’t. And the Romanian people deserve both. 🇷🇴

Bureaucracy undermines democracy
Stephen Miller gives a masterclass on the role of the President of the United States “A president is elected by the whole American people. He's the only official in the entire government that is elected by the entire nation. Judges are appointed. Members of Congress are elected at the district or state level. Just one man and the Constitution, Article 2 has a clause known as the vesting clause, and it says the executive power shall be vested in a president, singular. The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected president. That president then appoints staff to then impose that democratic will onto the government. The threat to democracy, indeed the existential threat to democracy, is the unelected bureaucracy of lifetime tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one, who believe they can do whatever they want without consequence, who believe they can set their own agenda no matter what Americans vote for.”

🧵🧵How Norm Eisen’s 2025 Democracy Playbook Plans to takeover for the Midterms Without the Presidency What happens if Democrats + globalist NGOs lose the White House? Nothing changes. Because they’ve spent years building a machine that runs WITHOUT needing the presidency. Here’s how they plan to rule through lawfare, NGOs, media + states + their plans for the 2026 midterms. (Yes I read the playbook)

i think we should give up the charade of upholding democracy. both sides want democracy only when they are not in power and fascism when they ARE in power. One should just accept and normalize this thought. There is no need to expect democracy at all when it is just an excuse. one should accept and understand that fascism is how it is and always will be.

The session is significant because it will revive the Congress party, thereby strengthening our country's democracy. It will have a pivotal impact at the grassroots level. This reorganisation will benefit the party at the national level. The AICC has already prepared guidelines for empowering the party at district and booth levels. : CWC Special Invitee and MP Shri @kodikunnilMP On Extended CWC Meeting 📍 Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Elon Musk: If the bureaucracy is preventing the president from implementing what the people want, then we live in a bureaucracy, not a democracy. “The President will make these executive orders, which are very sensible and good for the country, but then they don't get implemented. For example, the President issued an executive order saying we need to stop taking taxpayer money and paying for luxury hotels for illegal immigrants, which makes no sense. Obviously, people do not want their tax dollars going to fund high-end hotels for illegals. And yet, they were still doing that, even as late as last week. And so, we went in there and said this is in violation of the presidential executive order and that it needs to stop. One of the biggest functions of the DOGE team is just making sure that the presidential executive orders are actually carried out. The president is the elected representative of the people, so he's representing the will of the people. If the bureaucracy is fighting the will of the people and preventing the president from implementing what the people want, then what we live in is a bureaucracy and not a democracy.” Fox News, February 18, 2025

Just a reminder the architect of these protests is Norm Eisen and he told us this was the playbook in 2019. In Norm Eisen’s “Democracy Playbook” (specifically The Democracy Playbook: Preventing and Reversing Democratic Backsliding, originally published by the Brookings Institution in 2019 and updated in later versions), civil protest is framed as a legitimate and essential component of democratic resilience, particularly in the face of authoritarian tendencies. Key Themes from the Playbook Regarding Civil Protest: 1. Nonviolent Protest as a Democratic Tool •Eisen emphasizes peaceful mass mobilization as a key mechanism for resisting authoritarian encroachments. •He draws on examples from Eastern Europe, the U.S., and Latin America to show how civil protests can defend democratic norms, especially when institutions are under threat. 2. Strategic Protest to Pressure Institutions •The playbook encourages strategically timed protests to coincide with political decisions (e.g., Supreme Court rulings, elections, executive overreach) in order to pressure courts, legislatures, and public opinion. 3. Coordination with Civil Society & Media •Protests are seen as most effective when coordinated with civil society organizations, legal advocacy groups, and sympathetic media. •The document urges forming alliances with NGOs, academics, and international observers to amplify protest messaging. 4. Framing & Messaging •Eisen stresses that successful protests need a clear moral message, emphasizing “defense of democracy,” “protection of rights,” or “constitutional accountability.” •Framing should avoid violent rhetoric and instead focus on inclusion, lawfulness, and democratic integrity. 5. “Pre-Bunking” and Countering Authoritarian Narratives •The playbook suggests that activists prepare preemptive narratives to counter expected government backlash (e.g., labeling protests as “unpatriotic” or “insurrectionist”). •Encourages “pre-bunking” through media campaigns and grassroots education. Tell me how that’s not the literal playbook for these Tesla protests?
