Without even allowing the government a chance to respond, and in the dark of night, a federal appeals court blocked us from conducting all third-country removals of illegal aliens, an entirely legal and invaluable tool to stem the tide of illegal immigration. We will immediately seek relief from the Supreme Court, which previously granted a stay in this very same case.

A major takedown and indictment of 10 alleged members of the Jones-Basley Drug Trafficking Organization was just announced in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The DTO allegedly coordinated with a Mexican drug cartel to transport more than 300 kilos of cocaine from Mexico to Philadelphia. Greg Jones (the lead defendant shown below) was previously in prison on drug trafficking charges and had his sentence commuted by Joe Biden in 2022. In total, the takedown seized hundreds of kilograms of cocaine worth over $17 MILLION and multiple firearms from the streets of Philadelphia and the surrounding region. Incredible work by @USAttyMetcalf, @USAO_EDPA, @FBI, and the entire @HSTaskForce team in dismantling this dangerous drug trafficking organization and making communities in Philadelphia safer.

The Department of Justice just secured an end to “gender affirming care” for minors at two more hospital systems: NYU and UPMC. Since January 20, 2025 over 40 systems have ended these procedures across the country— including six of the largest systems as a result of @TheJusticeDept lawsuits. Hospitals that target children in these practices, and then fraudulently obtain payments for the procedures, will be held accountable.

The Afghan national and ISIS-K member who participated in a nearly decade-long conspiracy to provide material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization was sentenced today to 20 years in prison. His actions contributed to the devastating terrorist attack at Abbey Gate on August 26, 2021, which killed 13 U.S. servicemembers and other civilians. While the attack occurred in Afghanistan, the Justice Department and our law enforcement partners have remained steadfast in pursuing this terrorist and bringing him to justice on American soil. Our hearts remain with the families who lost loved ones that day. No sentence can undo their unimaginable loss, but we hope today brings some measure of justice.

The historic results of Operation No Doze announced yesterday are thanks to @POTUS and @VP’s leadership in making the fight against fraud a top priority. During the Heartland Summer Surge, @DOJFraudDiv, @SBAgov, 44 U.S. Attorney’s Offices, 20 federal and state investigative agencies, and our law enforcement partners uncovered $245 million in COVID loan schemes. Under this administration, criminals can no longer take advantage of the American people. @TheJusticeDept will continue expanding our reach across the country to pursue anyone steals from American taxpayers.

These two individuals in Louisiana were charged Friday with Fraudulent Voter Registration and Voting by an Alien. In total, six individuals were charged across three states last week for alleged illegal voting, fraudulent voter registration, and identity fraud. Let this be a reminder that those who seek to undermine the integrity of our elections will be charged accordingly. @TheJusticeDept will continue working to ensure our elections are not corrupted.

Nazira Haji Zada, an Afghan national who was living in Texas, is now permanently inadmissible to the United States after @TheJusticeDept secured her removal in the first-ever case brought before the Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC) because she supported her son and son-in-law’s plot to carry out an ISIS-inspired mass shooting on Election Day in 2024. This landmark case demonstrates that the Justice Department will use every tool at its disposal to protect the American people. Those who support terrorism have no place in our country.
