A major takedown and indictment of 10 alleged members of the Jones-Basley Drug Trafficking Organization was just announced in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The DTO allegedly coordinated with a Mexican drug cartel to transport more than 300 kilos of cocaine from Mexico to Philadelphia. Greg Jones (the lead defendant shown below) was previously in prison on drug trafficking charges and had his sentence commuted by Joe Biden in 2022. In total, the takedown seized hundreds of kilograms of cocaine worth over $17 MILLION and multiple firearms from the streets of Philadelphia and the surrounding region.
