🚁 SEE WILDFIRE SMOKE? STAY AWAY. Pilots and drone operators (yes, including drone hobbyists) should remain at least 15 miles from wildfire smoke and avoid active aerial firefighting operations. Wildfire airspace is hazardous, with low-flying helicopters and airtankers, rapidly changing conditions, and reduced visibility. Not every wildfire has a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in place when aircraft first arrive. Even if your GPS or flight app doesn't show one yet, treat any smoke column as active firefighting airspace. Unauthorized flights can ground firefighting aircraft, delay emergency response, and may result in significant fines, criminal penalties, and liability for firefighting costs. Your decision to stay away helps firefighters do their job safely and protects lives, property, and natural resources. #FlySafe# #AviationSafety# #UAS# #Wildfires# #California#

Senate report reveals Biden administration pressured at least eleven airports to house migrants despite warnings it would endanger American travelers!! The Senate Commerce Committee, led by Sen. Ted Cruz, released its “Flight Risk” report showing how the Biden White House directed the Department of Transportation and FAA to force airports in New York, Chicago, and Boston to turn terminals, hangars, and other facilities into shelters for illegal migrants. Internal communications show officials were told to prioritize this even after being warned it would create security and operational risks for everyday American passengers. Migrants were transported and housed with little to no proper vetting in some cases, while resources meant to protect air travel were redirected. This was a direct betrayal of the government’s basic duty to keep American citizens safe in their own country’s airports. Pass this along so more people understand how far the previous administration went to put illegal immigration ahead of public safety. #China#'s first fixed-wing aircraft platform for comprehensive atmospheric environment survey—the "Y-12F Atmospheric Integrated Aerial Survey Aircraft"—recently completed its maiden flight successfully at Harbin Pingfang Airport, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) . The aircraft, based on the Y-12F platform, is designed to meet the needs of highly sensitive three-dimensional detection of multiple pollutants, including atmospheric particulate matter, gaseous pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud-water physicochemical properties. To achieve this, it underwent large-scale integration and modification work involving over 60 mission equipment items, giving it the capability for integrated aerial survey of multi-pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud-water detection. The successful development of this aircraft will provide an important vertical detection tool for regional air pollution monitoring in China. This aircraft is also the only domestically-produced civil aircraft model that has simultaneously obtained type certificates from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). #ChinaTech#
