People seem to have converged on roughly this capability ranking:
1. Fable 5
2. GPT-5.6 Sol
3. Kimi K3
4. Grok 4.5
5. GLM-5.2
Now compare their model sizes:
1. Fable 5: ~10T parameters*
2. GPT-5.6 Sol: ~4T*
3. Kimi K3: 2.8T
4. Grok 4.5: ~1.5T*
4. GLM-5.2: 753B
Size does matter! It is hard not to wonder what GLM-5.2 could become if had access to more GPUs and scaled it into the 3–10T parameter range.
As coding performance converges across AI labs and model sizes, does it still make sense to pay 5x to 10x more for a tiny bit of extra intelligence?
Take GLM-5.2 vs. Fable 5. In 95% of tasks, most users cannot tell the difference.
But they will definitely notice the bill.
Elon Musk on the convergence of his companies:
“There’s increasingly a convergence between SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI
In order to harness a non-trivial amount of the Sun’s energy, you have to move to solar-powered AI satellites in deep space
That’s a confluence of Tesla’s expertise in energy, SpaceX’s expertise in space, and xAI on the AI front
It does feel like over time there is a real convergence happening”
- Tesla brings the power
- SpaceX brings the launch and satellites
- xAI brings the intelligence
The three companies are slowly becoming one unstoppable force for humanity’s future
Tonight all these lives converge here
The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears
Where fraternal souls sing identical things
And it’s beautiful
It’s rapturous.
It is frightening.

I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.
If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain...
The Life of a Showgirl is out now.
