Security arrangements at the Red Fort have been stepped up ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, with a multi-layered anti-terror response plan, more than 1,000 CCTV cameras and AI-based video analytics, a senior police officer said on Friday. Security agencies have also carried out mock drills and held advance liaison with various stakeholders to improve coordination during the event. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia said the arrangements were aimed at ensuring security while causing minimum inconvenience to people attending the celebrations. Pune’s iconic Burger King outlet in the Camp area has been sealed after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found serious hygiene deficiencies and violations of food safety regulations during an inspection. The outlet, located on East Street in Camp, was sealed by FDA officials, while its food licence was also suspended.
