Iranian photojournalist Yalda Moaiery has been sentenced to 15 years in prison under legislation enacted after the 2025 Israel-Iran war. Moaiery, known for documenting dissent and women’s lives, said IRGC intelligence officers raided her home during anti-government protests and seized her electronic equipment. She said they returned after US air strikes this year and confiscated her belongings again.
