🇨🇳#China# I am receiving disturbing news about the imminent deportation of Chinese HRD, journalist and whistleblower Bai Zhaodong, from Thailand to China. He fled China in November 2023 having been persecuted and criminalized for exposing large scale corruption and financial fraud implicating officials. He remains detained in Bangkok, reportedly in poor health and without adequate medical care. Despite an ongoing resettlement process, his relocation to a safe third country has twice been obstructed. I urge the Thai authorities to immediately halt any deportation proceedings, facilitate his prompt relocation, and ensure his safety and access to adequate healthcare. @ChinaMissionGva @UN_SPExperts

It is with great sadness that we heard about Lam Wing-kee’s passing last night. He was a truly brave man who spoke truth to power, telling the world about #China’s# kidnapping of Hongkongers, secret RSDL jails and forced TV confessions.

This is incredibly sad. No one has been held accountable for the ordeal Lam Wing-kee has endured. But someday they will be, and someday justice will come for the CCP machinery of repression.
