Chinese FM Wang Yi spoke at the High-Level Meeting on the Global Development Initiative in Beijing: Five years ago, President Xi put forward the GDI, providing China’s insight and contribution to reinvigorating global development. Five years on, the GDI has played a greater role in driving global development, developed better cooperation mechanisms and delivered a steady stream of cooperation outcomes. We are living through a period of transformation and turbulence. This confirms the pressing relevance of the GDI.
